Bento Academy is an email-first design education platform. We offer drip email courses and a weekly newsletter for designers and design-curious people. When we say "Bento", "we", "us", or "our" in this policy, we mean Bento Academy.
What information we collect
We collect only what we need to provide our service.
When you join our waitlist or subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address. When you purchase a course, we collect your email address and the payment information required to complete the transaction. We do not store your payment details ourselves. Payments are processed securely by a third-party payment provider.
We also collect basic usage data automatically, such as which pages you visit and how long you spend on them. This helps us understand how people use the site and improve it over time.
How we use your information
We use your email address to send you the content you signed up for: course lessons, waitlist updates, and our weekly newsletter. We do not sell your email address. We do not share it with third parties for marketing purposes. We do not send you emails you didn't ask for.
We use usage data to improve the website and understand which content is most useful. We do not use this data to build personal profiles or serve targeted advertising.
Email communications
Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link. You can opt out at any time and we will stop sending you emails immediately. If you unsubscribe from the newsletter it does not affect any active course emails you have purchased, and vice versa.
